In Q2 2022, leading film and television apps on iOS in Hungary showed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Key insights from Sensor Tower data reveal the performance of HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, Telekom TV GO, and RTL+ Magyarország.

HBO Max experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $11.8K in early May and early June. Weekly downloads for the app showed a downward trend, decreasing from 17.5K in mid-April to just 2.8K by the end of June. Active users saw a rise from 38.6K at the start of the quarter to 49.4K by mid-April, followed by a decline to 37.4K in late June.

Netflix observed a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $4.1K in early June. Weekly downloads varied, reaching a high of 4.4K at the end of April but generally fluctuating around 2.7K to 3.2K towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 105.2K and peaking at 116.2K in mid-April before settling around 112.6K by the end of June.

Disney+, which only had data for June, showed impressive weekly revenue figures, starting at $24.9K and ending at $14.4K. Downloads were robust, increasing from 8.1K to 14.3K by mid-June. Active users also saw a significant rise from 7.9K to 30.2K by the end of June.

Telekom TV GO had modest weekly downloads, peaking at 739 in mid-April and maintaining a steady range between 409 and 713 throughout the quarter. No revenue data was recorded for this app.

RTL+ Magyarország showed consistent weekly downloads, with numbers ranging between 342 and 623. Active users slightly declined from 4.6K at the end of March to 3.5K by the end of June.
